Our love story

On Cinco de Mayo in 2023, an American guy walked into a bar in Washington, DC and met a Mexican girl, and while it wasn't exactly love at first sight, it didn't take long to realize we were the perfect match. Fun fact: Jeff thought every date was a smashing success, but Katia nearly called it quits after the second one. Fortunately, his homemade pizza turned out to be the ultimate game-changer.
Katia never imagined marrying someone who didn’t speak Spanish, and Jeff certainly didn’t think tortillas, jalapeños, lime, and mezcal would become dietary staples—or that he’d find himself planning a wedding in Mexico.Yet, here we are, living proof that life has a great sense of humor and a talent for surprising us in the best ways.
Though we’re opposites in many ways, our shared values and love for God have built a bond stronger than any difference. Now, we can’t picture life with anyone else—even if Jeff’s Spanish is limited and Katia’s golf game is nonexistent.
We're beyond excited to get married and share this wild and wonderful journey with all of you. And, of course, we can't wait for you to fall in love with the magic of Guadalajara, Mexico. Get ready for a celebration filled with mariachis, mezcal, and a whole lot of iarriba, abajo, al centro, y pa dentro!
